One driver was taken to the hospital following a single vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon.

An Oregon State Police report said just after 3:00 p.m. a trooper was dispatched to the accident on Highway 38 near milepost 18 in the Scottsburg area. An eastbound van left the roadway after its passenger-side tire went off the road. The van rode in the ditch before crossing all lanes of travel and going down a steep embankment before it came to rest. The operator was transported to Lower Umpqua Hospital in Reedsport.
