In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:
The Art Galley at Umpqua Community College will present an exhibition featuring work by UCC visual arts faculty members John Hoffman, Greg Price and Brian Willett.
It will be on display from next Monday, September 14th through October 14th at the Whipple Fine Arts Center at UCC.
The exhibition highlights the creative work of faculty members who bring their experience as practicing artists directly into the classroom. John Hoffman said, “All of the faculty in visual arts at Umpqua Community College are active and practicing artists”. Hoffman said, “It is important to show our students that we practice what we teach”.
A public reception and artist talk will take place Thursday, September 24th from 5:00 pm. to 6:30 p.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to view the exhibition, meet the artists, and hear more about their work and creative practices.
Gallery hours are weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission to the exhibition and the reception is free and open to the public.
