Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported harassment incident on Saturday.

An RPD report said at 12:30 p.m. officers responded to the 1500 block of Northeast Poplar Street after a caller said there was a disturbance. A 29-year-old man was allegedly yelling at a victim. The victim told officers that the man had struck her multiple times. Officers interviewed the suspect, who admitted to striking the victim in the chest. The man was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with harassment and detained on $2,500 bail. The man was released later in the day.
