In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

In a Landscape: Classical Music in the Wild will be presented this Thursday night at Mildred Kanipe Memorial Park, seven miles northwest of Oakland. The concert, performed on a 9-foot Steinway concert grand piano, will take place alongside the creek, approximately a quarter to a half mile walk north of the equestrian parking area and campground. A limited number of ADA parking spots will be available near the Bainbridge-Kanipe historic farmstead day-use area.

The concert benefits the Umpqua Symphony Association, in memory of Lauren Young.

Attendees can begin to show up at 4:00 p.m. with the concert starting at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $45 dollars per person and include the use of headphones. A number of free or reduced-price tickets are available for those who otherwise could not attend.
