ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOLLOWING REPORTED CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

Roseburg Police jailed a man following a reported criminal mischief incident on Tuesday night.

An RPD report said at 9:15 p.m. officers responded to a disturbance in the 500 block of Northeast Jackson Street. Officers learned that 50-year-old Samuel Geil allegedly had broken several large residential windows and a reptile enclosure causing over $2,000 in damage. He then reportedly threatened three victims, causing them to believe he was going to attack them. After that, Geil went to one of the victim’s residents and allegedly caused over $2,000 in damage to her vehicle.

Geil was charged with two counts of first-degree criminal mischief, menacing, second-degree counts of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. He was detained without bail.
