One passenger was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday night.

A Roseburg Police Department report said at 7:45 p.m. officers responded to the accident at the intersection of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard. The first driver told officers that he was distracted by an emergency vehicle on the side of the road, and his vehicle rear-ended the SUV in front of it. A passenger in his vehicle was transported to CHI Mercy Medial Center. The first vehicle was inoperable and had to be towed from the scene. The man who caused the accident was cited for following too closely.
