Chadwick Clubhouse invites the community to step back into the 1970s for “Peace, Love, and Clubhouse”, a fundraising event benefitting the organization and its work supporting adults living with mental-health challenges throughout Douglas County.

A release from the organization said the event will be held Friday, September 11th at Melrose Vineyards located on Melqua Road, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best retro, 70s, or hippy inspired attire for an evening of dancing, dinner, drinks, and live music from Flashbak. There will also be raffles, auction items, and prizes for best outfits.

Chadwick Clubhouse is Douglas County’s only accredited Clubhouse program and serves more than 180 local adults. It gives people living with mental-health challenges a place to build relationships, learn skills, work toward jobs and education, improve wellness, and find purpose and belonging.

Chadwick Clubhouse Executive Director Trista Saltekoff said, “Chadwick Clubhouse is more than a program to the members, it is a community where people are recognized for their strengths, and not their diagnoses,” Saltekoff said. “This fundraiser is an opportunity for our community to have a great evening together while directly supporting opportunities for recovery and independence for people right here in Douglas County.”

The release said proceeds from the event will help Chadwick Clubhouse continue providing recovery-focused services and opportunities that reduce social isolation, support mental-health recovery and wellness, expand employment and educational opportunities, foster independence, dignity, and purpose, and build a stronger, more inclusive community.

Community members, businesses, and organizations are invited to attend, sponsor the event, or contribute raffle and auction items. Sponsorships help sustain Chadwick Clubhouse services.
