A Roseburg area man was jailed following a reported strangulation incident on Sunday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said 3:00 p.m. a victim claimed the 26-year-old had strangled her during a fight in the 1000 block of Ridge Avenue, just north of Roseburg. The victim had injuries consistent with her statement. The man was taken into custody without incident. He was charged with a felony count of strangulation and with harassment. The man was detained without bail.
