Roseburg Police jailed a man for a Sutherlin Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear early Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 3:40 a.m. officers contacted the 76-year-old man due to him camping in his vehicle in a prohibited area near the intersection of Northwest Stewart Park Drive and Northwest Veterans Way.  The man did not have any prior convictions for prohibited camping. Dispatch advised of the warrant, which was confirmed. The man was detained without incident. Bail was set at $5,000. The man was cited for prohibited camping.
