ONE DRIVER TAKEN TO HOSPITAL FOLLOWING TWO-VEHICLE CRASH

One driver was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon.

A Roseburg Police report said just after 1:30 p.m. officers responded to the accident at the intersection of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Oakland Avenue. Officers contacted a 72-year-old driver who said was trying to drive across Northeast Stephens from Northeast Oakland and thought the roadway was clear. It was too late when he saw the other car and his vehicle crashed into the driver’s side of that vehicle.

The driver whose vehicle was hit was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center with neck pain, The man was caused the accident was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device. The second vehicle was towed from the scene while the first operator was able to drive away from the scene.
