In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Music on the Half Shell will feature Jackie Venson on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. at Nichols Band Shell in Roseburg’s Stewart Park.

Forbes describes Venson as, “An Austin legend in the making” while Rolling Stone called her one of “Austin’s rising stars”. Her music is a fusion of blues, rock, R&B, and electronic beats anchored by mind-bending guitar solos. The show is concert seven of the eight concert summer series which will wrap up next week.

Attendees can put out blankets or chairs ahead of time. A number of food and beverage vendors will have meals for sale or concertgoers can bring their own dinner, along with wine or beer.
