A section of Southeast Douglas Avenue in Roseburg will be closed on Tuesday, August 4th, while crews trim trees near the Deer Creek Bridge.

A City of Roseburg release said Douglas Avenue will be closed between Southeast Ramp Street and Southeast Rifle Range Street from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Motorists should use alternate routes, allow additional travel time, and follow posted traffic-control signs.

The tree trimming is being completed to allow for fiber optic and communication lines to be relocated in preparation for the Oregon Department of Transportation’s planned replacement of the Deer Creek Bridge in 2027.
