Roseburg Police cited a man for prohibited camping on Thursday.

An RPD report said at 9:00 a.m. the 60-year-old was contacted while sleeping in his sleeping bag while in a makeshift shelter at Micelli Park, in the 1400 block of Southeast Micelli Street. The shelter was set up in some brush on the sandy beach where camping is not allowed. The man was also found in possession of a knife and a BB gun, which are both prohibited in city parks.

He was also cited for having weapons and tools on city real property, before being released on the scene.
