The hottest days of the year so far continue in the Umpqua Valley with the chance for thundershowers a concern for Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the high in Roseburg will stay in the upper 90s on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Forecasters said low pressure offshore on Wednesday along with winds from the south to southeast means there is a decent chance of thundershowers in the Umpqua between early afternoon and evening.

Thursday through Sunday conditions should be back to near normal with highs in the upper 80s expected.

The mercury reached 98 degrees on Monday at the Roseburg Regional Airport. That tied June 14th for the second hottest day of 2026 to this point. The hottest day of the year was June 15th when the afternoon high got to 99 degrees.
