Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reckless burning incident on Saturday afternoon.
An RPD report said just before 4:30 p.m. officers contacted the 39-year-old after multiple witnesses said they had seen him start a fire behind a business in the 2000 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway, which resulted in property damage. The man was taken into custody and officers discovered that he was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.
He was charged with reckless burning and was cited for unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Bail was set at $6,250.
