July 20, 2026 9:40 a.m.

The Winston Police Department is continuing its investigation into a reported stabbing which took place on Friday afternoon.

A WPD report said just after 3:40 p.m. officers along with deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Police responded to a home in the 100 block of Southeast Rouge Street, after a caller said a stabbing had just occurred.

Upon arrival, a 63-year-old male was found on the neighbor’s porch with several bloody injuries all over his body. The injuries appeared non-life-threatening, and the male was ultimately transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for treatment. The victim alleged that his 34-year-old daughter had stabbed him and also allowed her dog to bite him as well.

The suspect and her 60-year-old mother were both interviewed. It was determined that a physical disturbance between the three individuals ensued following an argument over narcotics.

No arrests have been made at this time.
