Above normal temperatures continue in the Umpqua Valley, with conditions expected to heat up even more on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that some clouds are slated for Monday with highs in the low to mid 90’s. Tuesday and Wednesday, highs should be in the mid to upper 90’s, possibly getting close to 100 degrees. There is an isolated chance of thundershowers on Tuesday, most likely in eastern Douglas County.

Forecasters said afternoon highs should drop to near normal, in the upper 80s, starting Thursday and continuing through the weekend.

The mercury reached 91 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport on Sunday.
