The summer sunshine continues in the Umpqua Valley, but cooler weather is on the way Thursday before a warming trend begins on Friday.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that highs on Wednesday will be in the upper 80s. Thursday is slated to see below normal temperatures with highs near 80 degrees. Friday will warm to the mid 80’s, with Saturday near 90 degrees and highs peaking on Sunday in the low to mid 90’s. Some parts of southwestern Oregon including Medford will see highs of 100 degrees or more on Sunday.
The mercury reached 91 degrees on Tuesday at the Roseburg Regional Airport. 86 degrees is the normal high for the date.
