Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged theft incident late Thursday evening.

An RPD report said at 10:30 p.m. the 50-year-old allegedly ate a meal at a restaurant in the 1000 block of Northeast Stephens Street and left without paying. He was found nearby and was charged with third-degree theft. Bail was set at $1,250.
