ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT, LITTERING

Roseburg Police jailed a man for aggravated harassment and two counts of offensive littering on Tuesday morning.

An RPD report said at 8:40 a.m. officers responded to the 700 block of Southeast Spruce Street after getting information that 34-year-old Zachary Sullivan outside his residence throwing trash into the roadway and screaming at customers of a nearby business.

While on the scene, officers observed a large amount of trash in the roadway and on the sidewalk. Sullivan was detained and admitted to throwing the trash onto both locations. He was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center for a jail clearance. While there, he was given water by hospital staff and allegedly spit it all over an officer. The man was medically cleared and transported to corrections.  Bail was set at $11,250.
