Roseburg Police jailed a woman Monday night for a reported prior assault incident.

An RPD report said at 6:40 p.m. officers contacted the woman at the Roseburg Public Department regarding the past incident that occurred on June 28th in the 800 block of West Princeton Avenue. During that incident, the suspect allegedly assaulted a victim by punching him several times in the face. The woman admitted to punching the victim during the incident. She was charged with fourth-degree assault. The woman was detained on $6,250 bail and was released later in the evening.
