ROSEBURG MAN JAILED FOR WARRANT FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP

A Roseburg man was jailed for a warrant following a traffic stop on Sunday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at approximately 4:15 p.m. a deputy observed a pickup passed him near the intersection of Old Highway 99 and Dole Road in south county. The deputy believed the driver to be a 37-year-old who had a felony warrant. The deputy caught up with the vehicle on Interstate 5 about two miles south of Myrtle Creek and initiated a traffic stop.

The man was detained without incident and was held without bail.
