ROSEBURG POLICE CITE TEEN FOR THEFT OF FIREWORKS, ALCOHOL POSSESSION

Roseburg Police cited a teen for second-degree theft and being a minor in possession of alcohol early Monday morning.

An RPD report said at 4:10 a.m. officers responded to a fireworks booth in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway after the 15-year-old male allegedly had stolen over $500 worth of fireworks. The juvenile was stopped by an employee and waited on the scene for officers to arrive. During the contact, the teen admitted to the theft and to consuming alcohol.

He was released to a parent after the citation was issued.
