A Washington State man was cited following a hit and run incident at a gas station in south county on Monday morning.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said shortly after 9:30 a.m. the 56-year-old was refueling his truck at the at the business in the 200 block of Pruner Road in the Riddle area when he drove off with a pump nozzle still attached, causing approximately $450 in damages. After contacting the driver by phone, a deputy spoke to the business manager, who stated that he did not wish to press charges. The driver agreed to pay for the damages out of his pocket. He was cited for failure to perform the duties of a driver.
