The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife will host a series of public meetings in July where district biologists will present proposed changes to the 2027 big game regulations and gather public feedback.
An ODFW release said modifications to the Elk General Western Oregon Coast seasons are being considered; otherwise no major changes are proposed this year.
Each meeting will include a presentation on the proposed regulations for 2027, and question and answer session, and an opportunity for public comment. The commission will adopt the 2027 big game regulations as their September 18th meeting in La Grande.
ODFW encourages people to use the: comment submission form to submit input in advance or after the meeting. Questions can also be asked during the Teams meeting using the chat feature.
The Southwest Region meeting including Roseburg, Charleston, Central Point and Gold Beach will be July 7th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
