Crews with Central Douglas Fire & Rescue responded to a barn fire in the Charter Oaks neighborhood, west of Roseburg on Monday afternoon.

A CDF&R post said just after 12:45 p.m. firefighters were dispatched to the report of the fire which included nearby trees on fire and a storage structure catching fire on Harlan Street. Crews arrived to find two barn style sheds on fire as well as a large tree. The shed of origin was a total loss while fire spread to the secondary exposure was limited to external damage only as the fire was quickly extinguished.

CDF&R responded with three fire engineers and a command unit. Roseburg Fire Department responded with one fire engine and a command unit, totaling fourteen paid and volunteer personnel.
