ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED PAST DISTURBANCE

Roseburg Police j ailed a man Tuesday for an alleged past disturbance.

An RPD report said the 56-year-old man and a victim were allegedly involved in the incident on May 13th.  At that time, the suspect reportedly broke the victim’s television and threw her toward her bed during the disturbance. The man fled the scene before officers arrived and was not located that night.

Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. officers detained the suspect and questioned him. He admitted to “pushing” the television but denied anything physical had occurred between him and the victim. There was video footage of the man putting his hands on the victim during the disturbance. The man was charged with harassment and second-degree criminal mistreatment. Bail was set at $8,750.
