In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

The Umpqua Valley Youth Orchestra will be holding a Spring Concert on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Jacoby Auditorium at Umpqua Community College. The concert is free with donations accepted.

Over 120 young musicians from all over Douglas County will be participating. UYVO under the direction of Kristin Parks, will be featuring musical selections that include “Take Me Out to the Ball Game”, “Cello Squadron”, “This is My Father’s World”, and music from Toy Story along with “The Barber of Seville” by Rossini.

Students ages 6 and older have spent the past 9 months learning and preparing for this special evening and are eager to share their talents.
