The Umpqua Valley will enjoy two more days with some of the hottest temperatures of the year to this point, before cooling comes into the region for the rest of the week.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that a thermal trough will remain in place through Tuesday with high temperatures expected to be in the low 80s. A cold front moves into the region on Wednesday with afternoon high temperatures returning to near seasonal norms through Sunday. There is a chance of rain late Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.
Saturday was the second hottest day of the year so far when the mercury reached 83 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport, Sunday’s high temperature was 74 degrees.
