Roseburg Police jailed a man for a stalking order violation on Monday.
An RPD report said just after 11:10 a.m. officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Southeast Miller Street, after a protected person said a suspect was violating the order by coming into visual contact with the protected person.
Officers reviewed the stalking order which prohibited the 82-year-old from coming into visual contact with the victim. When an officer arrived at the scene, the protected person was working on his vehicle and the suspect was also outside, sitting in front of the other man’s house, in visual contact with him.
The suspect was taken into custody and transported to corrections. He was detained without bail and was released later in the day.
