Roseburg Police jailed a man early Thursday, for a reported prior burglary.

An RPD report said at 12:30 a.m. officers contacted 27-year-old Casey Tuin after noticing he matched the description of a burglary suspect from the previous night. Tuin was reportedly found with bolt cutters and stolen cigarettes and cigars in his backpack. Eventually the suspect admitted to cutting the lock at the 76 Gas Station on West Harvard Avenue and stealing over $1,000 worth of cigarettes from inside. Tuin told officers that he had sold some of the stolen items and that was his intention when he committed the crime.

Tuin was charged with first-degree burglary, two counts of first-degree theft, second-degree criminal mischief and possession of burglar tools. He was detained without bail.
