Roseburg Police jailed a man on robbery and weapon charges on Tuesday afternoon.

An RPD report said at 4:30 p.m. officers interviewed 32-year-old Michael Singleton at Douglas County Corrections, regarding an ongoing investigation. During the investigation, it was determined that Singleton allegedly pointed a BB gun at a victim, and demanded her wallet, before striking her on the head with a gun, in the 900 block of Northeast Stephens Street. The victim had injuries consistent with her report. In addition, Singleton reportedly messaged the victim afterward, and apologized, offering her fentanyl if she were to tell officers that he had not been involved.

Singleton was charged with first-degree robbery, unlawful use of a weapon, tampering with a witness and a parole violation. He was detained without bail.
