Roseburg Police jailed a man after he was found inside of a vehicle on Wednesday evening.
An RPD report said at 7:40 p.m. the 34-year-old was contacted by officers after he was spotted in the back parking lot of a business in the 600 block of Southeast Main Street. While inside the vehicle, the suspect allegedly stole $19 and two necklaces with crystal pendants from inside and stabbed a hole in the seat with a pocketknife.
Officers detained the man nearby and reportedly found the money and necklaces in his pockets. He was identified as Alan Hubschman and was charged with unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, second-degree criminal mischief and third-degree theft. Hubschman was detained on $6,250 bail.
