An Air Stagnation Advisory remains in effect through 4:00 a.m. Friday within the valleys of Douglas County.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said poor air quality will continue. This is due to an inversion and stagnant air conditions near the surface that will continue to trap pollutants.
Poor air quality may cause issues for people with respiratory problems. Most outdoor burning will likely be prohibited as poor ventilation continues.
Forecasters sat a strong area of high pressure remains in place. This will lead to poor mixing of the atmosphere and the trapping of pollutants. The high looks to remain in place through the week ahead.
