Oregon’s U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley will have a town hall in Douglas County on Saturday.

The event is part of Senator Merkley’s first round of in-person community conversations happening in western Oregon through Sunday.

Senator Merkley holds town hall meetings in each of Oregon’s thirty-six counties every year.

The Douglas County town hall will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Southern Oregon Wine Institute at Umpqua Community College in Winchester. Senator Merkley said he will open the meeting with brief remarks but wants the focus to be on hearing from residents about their concerns regarding the federal government. The event is expected to last just over one hour.
