The Roseburg High School Marching Ensemble ended its 2025 competitive season with a record-setting performance at the Northwest Association for Performing Arts Championships on November 1st.

An RHS release said the 128-member band earned a final score of 82.40, placing 6th in its division and 8th overall among all bands in the region. That was the program’s highest finish in more than 20 years. Judges awarded Roseburg particularly strong scores in Music Effect and Ensemble Music categories.

Performing its 2025 show, “Cruisin”, the ensemble paid tribute to 1960s car culture and music, entertaining audiences in both preliminary and final rounds.

Director of Bands Brandon Hansen said, “This season has been an incredible journey”. Hansen said, “Our students’ dedication, musicianship, and teamwork made Roseburg history”.

The band closed its season with “Platinum Arrow”, a free community performance on November 3rd at the RHS football field. The event celebrated the season and honored the program’s 33 seniors.
