Umpqua Valley Arts is inviting residents to step into the warmth and creativity of the season at its Handmade Holiday Market, happening during Small Business Saturday, on November 29th from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A UVA release said the annual event celebrates the return of handcrafted holiday traditions – offering a vibrant space where art, community, and the joy of giving come together. More than 20 local artists will showcase one-of-a-kind creations, from jewelry and ceramics to textiles, prints, and leatherwork.
Attendees can sip homemade soup and hot cocoa, decorate cookies, enjoy family games, capture memories at a festive photo booth, and browse the work of local makers. Admission includes five tickets redeemable for food, drinks and activities.
Umpqua Valley Arts Executive Director Monica Stanfield said, “Our Handmade Holiday Market is about reconnecting with what truly makes the holidays specials – community, creativity, and care”. Stanfield said, “Every handmade gift tells a story, and this event is a chance to meet the artists and makers behind these stories”.
Leading up to the market, UVA is offering a Handmade Holiday Class Series, giving participants the chance to craft their own unique gifts – from printmaking and jewelry to leatherwork and sewing. All skill levels are invited to join in the fun of making something personal for loved ones. Event tickets are $12 per person or $20 for groups of two.
