A Glendale area transient was jailed following a reported robbery incident on Monday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 9:45 a.m. 38-year-old Sarah Snyder was in the 400 block of Montgomery Avenue in Glendale and allegedly tried to take a victim’s vehicle without permission. As Snyder was reportedly trying to leave with the vehicle, the victim tried to stop her and was ultimately dragged for a short distance in the driveway.

Snyder also crashed into a fence and was eventually detained by a second victim who had handcuffs. Statements by observers on scene all matched except for Snyder’s version of the incident.

She was charged with third-degree robbery, second and third-degree counts of criminal mischief, recklessly endangering another person, harassment and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Snyder was detained without bail.
