HEAT ADVISORY CONTINUES THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT

July 14, 2025 6:50 a.m.

A Heat Advisory is in effect through 8:00 p.m. Tuesday for central Douglas County and its eastern foothills.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford said high temperatures in the mid-90s to around 100 degrees are expected. Low temperatures will be mainly in the lower to mid-60s.

The Advisory area includes Roseburg, Camas Valley, Elkton, Tiller and surrounding areas.

Forecasters said there is an increased chance of heat related illnesses for those without access to cooling facilities.

Hot temperatures are likely to continue into mid-week. Warm overnight temperatures will limit relief from hot daytime temperatures. The Advisory will likely be extended to Wednesday for temperatures nearing the triple digits once again in the Umpqua Basin.

Residents should drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
