Covering coastal Douglas County:

A transient was jailed for a reported trespass incident on Friday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just before 1:30 p.m. the 44-year-old was allegedly trespassing in the 800 block of Beach Boulevard in Winchester Bay and had been asked to leave many times and even warned that law enforcement was coming.

The suspect reportedly didn’t care and still wouldn’t leave even after being asked to again multiple times. A deputy arrived and the man admitted that he had been asked to leave and had refused. He was taken into custody and transported to corrections. The man was detained without bail.
