In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Riverbend Live! will begin its 29th season on Friday night.

Entertainment is presented at Winston’s Riverbend Park beginning at 7:00 p.m. each week through August 1st. The lineup this year spans blues, Americana, cowboy poetry and western music, electro swing and a full-scale youth theater production.

The series begins with Grammy-nominated Memphis based family band Southern Avenue. The group plays original Memphis blues, modern soul and gospel infused roots music. Southern Avenue is back at Riverbend Live! after performing there in 2019.

Attendees can bring blankets or lawn chairs. Outside food and picnic baskets are welcome. Food vendors will be available at all concerts. The Humble Lush will offer adult beverages at all concerts, but not during the youth theater presentations. Pets and smoking are not allowed at the venue.
