Roseburg Police jailed a woman and cited a man following a prohibited camping incident on Tuesday.

An RPD report said at 8:30 am. officers contacted the 42-year-old woman and 44-year-old man in the 200 block of Southeast Pine Street. Their tent was pitched and tied to a trees, which was in violation of the Manner portion of the camping ordinance. The woman initially provided officers with a false name because she didn’t want to get a citation.

She was charged with providing false information, prohibited camping and for an active warrant out of RPD. Bail was set at $13,750. The man was cited and released on the camping charge.
