Roseburg Police jailed a man following a reported trespass incident on Tuesday.
An RPD report said at 7:45 a.m. officers responded after a caller said a transient male was sleeping under a car in the 1700 block of Northwest Patricia Street. Officers contacted the 37-year-old who admitted that he was trying to steal gas from the vehicle on the property and passed out in the process.
The man was allegedly in possession of pair of bolt cutters and various pliers. Officers took the suspect into custody without incident and transported him to corrections. He was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, possession of burglary tools, and a parole violation. Bail was set at $1,250.
