ROSEBURG MAN JAILED FOR FIRST-DEGREE CRIMINAL TRESPASS

July 1, 2025 9:40 a.m.

A Roseburg man was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and a warrant on Monday afternoon.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said the victim was in the hospital and had concerns that the 60-year-old was entering the room he rents in the 200 block of Club Avenue north of Roseburg, while he was gone. A witness was watching the victim’s room and caught the suspect inside the room at about 5:30 p.m. The victim believed he had some beer missing, but the witness did not see the suspect leaving with any beer when he caught him, so it was unknown if the man had gone into the room twice.

The suspect admitted to going into the room but denied stealing anything. He had a valid circuit court warrant and was taken into custody. The man was detained on $1,250 bail.
