A Sutherlin man was injured in a motorcycle versus deer wreck on Friday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at approximately 7:10 p.m. the 42-year-old was driving a Harley Davidson west bound in the 2000 block of Coos Bay Wagon Road when a deer crossed in front of him. The motorcycle hit the animal head on at approximately 55 miles per hour.

The man sustained injuries during the crash. He was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center.
