Two people were taken to the hospital following a single vehicle crash on Wednesday.

An Oregon State Police report said just after 9:00 a.m. troopers responded to the wreck on U.S. Highway 101 northbound in the Reedsport area. The operator of a pickup towing a small utility trailer was turning from Salmon Harbor Driver onto the highway. The operator did not see a southbound SUV and pulled out in front of it.

The SUV struck the rear end of the trailer causing heavy front-end damage to it and damaged the rear end bumper and trailer of the pickup. The operator of the SUV and a passenger were transported to Lower Umpqua Hospital in Reedsport for non-life- threatening injuries.
