Sutherlin Police jailed a man for theft and trespass charges on Thursday.

An SPD report said on Tuesday afternoon, neighbors allegedly caught the 18-year-old and another male taking a bike out of a victim’s carport in the 1200 block of East Central Avenue. The suspects dropped the bike and ran. Both were reportedly seen on video leaving the trailer park.

Thursday morning just after 10:00 a.m. an officer located the suspect, knowing there was probable for his arrest. Upon finding the man, he was detained and advised that he was in possession of drug paraphernalia.

The man was charged with second-degree counts of theft and criminal trespass. Bail was set at $7,500.
