A Springfield driver crashed her SUV in the Umpqua area on Monday night.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 11:20 p.m. the 20-year-old was traveling east on Fort McKay Road when she missed her turn and attempted to get onto Garden Valley Road, while still at a high rate of speed. Her vehicle skidded into a guard rail, taking out about 20 feet. The vehicle was a hazard and was taken from the scene by a towing company.
