June 23, 2025 3:40 a.m.
The Roseburg City Council’s Monday meeting will begin early.
Councilors will gather at 6:30 p.m. to interview two applicants for the Planning Commission. Andy Stoner and David Bolhuis have both applied.
When the regular meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. the council will make a selection or decide to consider soliciting for additional applicants. While there are two openings on the commission, both men are realtors, so only one of them can be selected to remain in compliance with the municipal code.
Councilors will have second reading and final adoption of an ordinance regarding indecent exposure.
Department items will include:
*Awarding the 2025 Pavement Management Slurry Seals contract to Doolittle Construction for $207,000.
*2025 Garden Valley Boulevard and Stewart Parkway Pavement and Curb Ramp Improvements project to Guido Construction for just over $1.4 million
*Harvard Avenue Storm Improvements from West Ballf Street to West Umpqua Street to Black Pearl Paving and Excavation for just over $484,000.
*Authorizing the city manager to execute an agreement with Axon Al Era for a 44-month contract for just over $275,000.
Mayor Larry Rich will proclaim June as Parks and Recreation Month. Downtown Parking Committee updates will be given.
Other items are on the agenda. The meeting will be held in the council chambers on Southeast Douglas Avenue. It can be seen on the city’s Facebook page or viewed later at www.cityofroseburg.org
