ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR WARRANT, RESISTING ARREST

Roseburg Police jailed a man for a warrant, resisting arrest, and harassment on Thursday evening.

An RPD report said shortly before 6:00 p.m. officers contacted 41-year-old Michael Monroe in the parking lot of a store in the 2700 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. They learned that man had an active warrant out of the Santiam Correctional Facility. While taking Monroe into custody, he reportedly clung to the vehicle he was in and allegedly kicked an officer in the vest. No one was injured. Monroe was taken into custody. He was detained on $8,750 bail.
